Opportunity awaits in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and products. This includes operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and organized warehouse environment. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and have a strong work ethic. Your contribution is critical to the smooth functioning of our supply chain and overall logistics operations. A thorough understanding of material handling best practices and strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), are required. This is a key position that impacts productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for internal use or external shipment.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and logistics operations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Valid forklift certification is required. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently. Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, and bend for extended periods. Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems. A strong commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is non-negotiable. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Must be reliable and punctual.
