Our growing distribution center in Provo, Utah, is looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of warehouse tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. You will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub, ensuring product availability and timely order fulfillment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You'll work with a team of professionals to manage the flow of goods, from arrival to departure. Understanding warehouse operations and the importance of efficient logistics is key. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory for this role. Your efforts will be crucial in maintaining our high standards for operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock merchandise.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment based on order details.
- Prepare shipments for delivery, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the distribution center.
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies in inventory.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and company goals.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds consistently. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods. Demonstrated understanding of logistics principles. A strong commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
