We are looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of goods from receipt to shipment. You will be responsible for various tasks, including unloading trucks, stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for dispatch. Our commitment to safety is paramount, and all associates are required to adhere to stringent safety protocols and utilize the provided PPE. The ideal candidate is reliable, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. This position requires physical activity, including repetitive lifting and movement. Understanding and applying proper lifting techniques is essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming inventory accurately.
- Stock shelves and storage areas efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications for shipping.
- Prepare orders for outbound logistics, including labeling and staging.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and checks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the duration of the shift.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Proactive and reliable with a strong work ethic.
