Job Summary:
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of our inventory through rigorous processes and systems. You will conduct regular audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement procedures to minimize stock errors and loss. Your expertise will ensure that our logistics operations run smoothly, supporting both internal teams and external customer needs. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to Safety are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to prevent shrinkage and improve accuracy.
  • Manage and operate inventory management software and systems.
  • Track and report on inventory levels, stock movements, and other key metrics.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Train other warehouse staff on inventory control procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and the importance of accurate inventory for effective Logistics.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting.
  • Commitment to maintaining a Safe and efficient work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
