We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be part of a fast-paced logistics environment, ensuring timely processing of goods and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our warehouse and requires a strong commitment to safety protocols. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent damage to products and equipment. Your primary goal will be to support our operations by managing the movement of materials within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials between different areas of the warehouse, and place inventory in designated storage locations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock checks, to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear of obstructions.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Handle materials with care to avoid damage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
