We are actively recruiting for a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Houston, Texas! This crucial role supports the efficient functioning of our logistics operations. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your duties will include receiving shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, preparing outgoing orders, and coordinating with carriers. This position demands organization, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will be part of a dedicated team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. We provide thorough training, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a secure and productive workplace. Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition against purchase orders.
  • Unload trucks and trailers safely using appropriate equipment.
  • Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
  • Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to instructions.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
  • Arrange for carrier pickups and coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning technology.
  • Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Adhere to all company Safety protocols and wear required PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is required.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and scanning devices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
