We are hiring Picker/Packers for our bustling distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include selecting items from warehouse inventory, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Success in this position requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding our high standards for product handling and logistics. You'll work closely with a team to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the overall success of our distribution network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Package products securely using appropriate materials, ensuring they are ready for shipping.
- Verify order accuracy and scan items into the system.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and quality goals.
- Adhere to lifting restrictions and safety procedures for heavy items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in a picking or packing role is beneficial.
- Physical ability to stand for long shifts and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable with lifting items up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to wear safety gear, including provided PPE.
