We are seeking diligent Picker/Packers to join our logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be instrumental in accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, works efficiently, and is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety within our warehouse operations. Your contribution is vital to our supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or scanner instructions.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details to ensure no errors.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for safe transit, using designated packaging materials.
- Apply correct shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workstation and contribute to general warehouse cleanliness.
- Operate material handling equipment like hand trucks or pallet jacks safely.
- Follow all established safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory management activities, such as cycle counts and stock rotation.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to remain on your feet, walk, and lift items weighing up to 40 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with general warehouse safety procedures is required.
