We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Provo, Utah. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless inventory management and timely delivery of goods. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and quality of goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the warehouse management system (WMS) accordingly.
- Ensure the loading and unloading areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including general labor and upkeep.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment, including forklifts (certification a plus).
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS software are a plus.
