We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this essential role, you will manage the outbound flow of goods, ensuring that all orders are accurately processed, packaged, and dispatched to our valued customers. Your responsibilities will include generating shipping labels, coordinating with various shipping carriers, and meticulously documenting all outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is committed to fostering a safe and efficient work environment. Your accuracy directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations. We maintain a strong emphasis on workplace safety and require all employees to adhere to safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Create and apply correct shipping labels and documentation.
- Package orders securely to ensure product integrity during transit.
- Verify that order contents match shipping details before dispatch.
- Liaise with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage delivery expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
- Update inventory management systems with outgoing shipment information.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any shipping discrepancies or issues to the relevant supervisor.
- Assist with loading outbound shipments when necessary.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for the duration of the shift.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and knowledge of common carrier systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must follow all safety guidelines and wear assigned PPE.
- Understanding of warehouse and logistics processes.
