Job Summary:
Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate dispatch of all outgoing shipments. This role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and correctly. You will manage shipping documentation, communicate with carriers, and ensure all shipments are prepared according to company standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong organizational skills, and understands the importance of accurate logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process shipping orders, generating necessary labels and documentation.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL) to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Verify shipping information for accuracy, including addresses, quantities, and product details.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments and customers.
  • Inspect outgoing packages to ensure proper packaging and labeling.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • While primarily administrative, occasional light lifting may be required for package handling.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or administrative role.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics flow.
  • Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
