Our rapidly growing e-commerce fulfillment center in Chicago, Illinois, is looking for a detail-oriented Fulfillment Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently processing online orders, ensuring accuracy from picking to packing and shipping. Your tasks will include locating products within the warehouse, accurately picking items based on order requirements, and preparing them for shipment. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, speed, and the ability to handle physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of packages. Maintaining a safe work environment is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all Safety protocols and the consistent use of appropriate PPE are mandatory. As a Fulfillment Associate, you are a critical link in our Logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our valued customers. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanners.
- Verify product details, quantities, and condition before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently according to company standards.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear required PPE .
- Support overall warehouse Logistics and operational efficiency.
- Perform regular physical tasks, including walking, standing, and Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a fulfillment, warehouse, or order picking role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Capacity for performing physical duties, including repeated Lifting and carrying.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE .
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of Logistics procedures is a plus.
