Job Summary:
Join our team in Tampa, Florida as an Inventory Control Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing procedures to minimize discrepancies. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining efficient warehouse operations within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and implement procedures to ensure ongoing precision.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations staff to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and adjustments.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items, maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in the training of other staff members on inventory control procedures.
  • Support the logistics team by providing accurate inventory data for planning and decision-making.
  • Perform quality checks on stored goods to ensure they meet standards.
  • Practice safe Lifting techniques when handling inventory.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus. Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management. Proficiency in using WMS software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices. Understanding of logistics operations. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and wear required PPE. Experience with data analysis and reporting.
