We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in San Jose, California. This role is essential to our daily operations, involving a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient functioning of our warehouse and logistics processes. You will be involved in receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock shelves and storage areas with incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to lifting and hazard prevention.
- Wear and properly utilize required PPE at all times.
- Assist with shipping preparations, including labeling and documentation.
- Contribute to team efforts and collaborate with colleagues to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This position operates within a busy warehouse environment. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE, including safety footwear and protective gear. The job involves consistent physical exertion, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Our company prioritizes safety above all else, and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory for everyone involved in our logistics operations.
