We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our thriving warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas. In this key position, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our extensive inventory to fulfill customer orders. You will utilize advanced scanning technology and hand-held devices to locate and pick products efficiently, ensuring the highest level of accuracy. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and correct shipments to our valued customers. Our commitment to safety is paramount; therefore, strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of PPE, is required. You will be part of a supportive team environment that values collaboration and efficiency. This position involves significant walking, standing, and regular lifting of items up to 40 lbs. Experience in a high-volume order picking environment is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves and storage locations according to order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners and other technology to track picks and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Verify picked items against order manifests before staging for packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth order processing.
- Contribute to achieving daily picking targets.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse environments preferred.
- Proficiency with scanning equipment and inventory management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform regular lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
