As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. This includes receiving incoming goods, storing them appropriately, picking items for orders, and preparing them for dispatch. You will operate various types of warehouse equipment and work closely with other team members to meet daily targets. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on order requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with preparing outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals within the logistics framework.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical labor, including significant Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic inventory management.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols.
