Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Milwaukee, Wisconsin warehouse operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy of our inventory through various processes, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and discrepancy investigation. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics operations and ensure product availability. Maintaining a high standard of Safety and utilizing the correct PPE are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize spoilage and obsolescence.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, prioritizing Safety.
  • Ensure all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used correctly.
  • Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed to support the logistics team.
  • Perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
