Job Summary:
Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Detroit, Michigan facility. In this key logistics role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and managing stock rotation. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with inventory management systems are essential. You will play a critical part in optimizing stock levels, minimizing losses, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points.
  • Manage product rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all inventory movements in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Collaborate with operations and receiving teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
