We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This critical role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management processes, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your efforts will directly impact the efficiency of our Logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, including potential shortages or overages.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Manage the process of returns and stock adjustments.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and guidelines, including the use of PPE .
- Operate material handling equipment as needed, following all Safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control, preferably within a warehouse or distribution environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with inventory management software and systems. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Knowledge of warehouse Logistics and supply chain principles. Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE . Experience with RF scanning technology is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is a bonus.
