Job Summary:
Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma logistics center is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels. This role is essential for optimizing warehouse operations and ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and managing stock rotation. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in logistics. Your contribution will directly impact efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. Join our team and play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss and errors.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and prevent obsolescence.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to maximize space utilization.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE when working in the warehouse.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and other key metrics.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.

Work Environment: This position requires spending time in both an office setting and the warehouse. Warehouse duties involve navigating various conditions and adhering to strict safety protocols, including the use of provided PPE. Focus on accuracy and safety is paramount.
