While not a heavy lifting role, some lifting and moving of packages will be required. Responsibilities:
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy against shipping documentation.
- Package products securely and appropriately for transit.
- Generate and affix shipping labels and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality control.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate with other departments to resolve shipping issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency with computers, including shipping software and MS Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and PPE.
- Ability to lift and move packages (up to 30 lbs).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
