Responsibilities:
- Unloading incoming shipments from trucks and carriers.
- Verifying received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspecting shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Documenting all receiving activities accurately in the system.
- Tagging and labeling incoming inventory appropriately.
- Communicating any receiving issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Following all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE, to ensure a secure work environment.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or administrative role is preferred.
- Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, up to 30 pounds.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with basic computer systems and scanning equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
