Are you an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a new opportunity in Tampa, Florida? We are actively hiring to fill this critical role within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and fulfilling orders. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and proficiency in operating various types of forklifts. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, ensuring the seamless flow of goods and maintaining a secure work environment. Adherence to all safety protocols and the consistent use of PPE are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and records.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or potential safety hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the strict use of PPE.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to meet daily operational targets.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Reliability and a strong commitment to safety and using PPE.
