Join our logistics team in Tampa, Florida, as a Shipping Clerk! We are looking for a diligent and organized individual to manage the outbound shipping process. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, documenting, and coordinating the shipment of goods to our customers. Accuracy and efficiency are key to ensuring that orders leave our facility on time and are correctly addressed. You will work closely with our warehouse staff and transportation partners to maintain a seamless shipping operation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage before dispatch.
- Ensure all packages are properly packed, sealed, and labeled.
- Maintain organized shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal teams and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with loading outbound shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Understanding of shipping regulations and logistics processes.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
