We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our inventory is correctly recorded and stored, supporting the overall efficiency of our warehouse and Logistics operations. A commitment to accuracy and Safety is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Enter received goods into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Stage received goods for put-away into their designated warehouse locations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety procedures and wear required PPE .
- Must be able to handle routine Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Assist other warehouse personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform basic data entry and use inventory software.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
