We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our facility, contributing directly to our supply chain success. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyor belts, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of all equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Operate a variety of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Must be comfortable with Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in a related field is preferred.
