We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our bustling warehouse in Durham, North Carolina. This position is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, directly impacting the efficiency of our logistics operations. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for tracking stock levels, performing audits, managing inventory data, and reconciling discrepancies. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of warehouse inventory systems are essential. You will play a key role in ensuring that our warehouse operates smoothly, minimizing errors and maximizing efficiency. This role requires precision, diligence, and a commitment to upholding high standards in inventory management within the broader logistics framework.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse, from receipt to shipment.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers accurately.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, movement, and accuracy.
- Ensure proper organization and labeling of all inventory items.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
