Job Summary:
Become an essential part of our logistics network as an Inventory Control Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. We are seeking a highly organized and analytical individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our inventory. This role is critical for ensuring that we have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time, directly impacting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, performing audits, and implementing inventory control procedures. You will work closely with warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure seamless inventory flow and data integrity. Proficiency with inventory management software and RF scanning technology is essential. The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to inventory processes is highly valued. While this role is primarily administrative and analytical, there may be occasions requiring movement within the warehouse, so a degree of physical capability and awareness of safety protocols, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), is necessary. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify potential shortages or excesses, and report findings.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate receiving, put-away, and picking processes.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics operations.
