We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics department in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is crucial for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining records of all shipments. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy are essential. We prioritize a safe work environment and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to our employees. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include:
- Accurately preparing shipping labels and documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading, packing slips).
- Coordinating with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verifying outgoing shipments against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining shipping logs and updating tracking information in the system.
- Inspecting packages for proper packaging and labeling before dispatch.
- Communicating with warehouse staff and customer service regarding shipment status.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Resolving any shipping-related discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- While primarily administrative, this role may involve occasional moderate Lifting, up to 25 pounds, when assisting with warehouse operations.
