This crucial role supports our overall logistics operations by managing the movement of materials throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to load, unload, and transport goods efficiently and safely. - Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transporting materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Storing materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory management.
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
- Safely operating all material handling equipment, adhering to operational guidelines.
- Identifying and reporting any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Following all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Experience with inventory control and warehouse organization.
