Join our team as a Receiving Clerk in the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington! This position is essential for managing the flow of goods into our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. Key duties include verifying delivery contents against purchase orders, identifying and reporting any damages or discrepancies, and ensuring that all received items are properly logged into our inventory system. A strong commitment to accuracy, organizational skills, and a dedication to safety are vital for success in this role. This role directly impacts our logistics and inventory management. We emphasize a safe work environment and require the consistent use of PPE . Expect regular Lifting of boxes and materials. Adherence to all Safety protocols is mandatory. Your role is crucial to our overall Logistics efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload deliveries from trucks and freight carriers.
- Carefully check incoming goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect for damage or any inconsistencies and report them immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Stage received items for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve receiving issues.
- Follow all Safety guidelines rigorously, including the mandated use of PPE .
- Perform Lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our Logistics operations.
- Ensure all receiving procedures are followed meticulously.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in warehouse receiving or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and basic computer skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity for Lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics best practices.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and correct usage of PPE .
- Strong communication skills.
