Are you detail-oriented and organized? Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in Orlando, Florida. This role is critical for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying outgoing orders, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy are essential. This position plays a key role in our supply chain and logistics operations. We prioritize a safe working environment and require the consistent use of PPE . While not the primary focus, some Lifting may be required. Strict adherence to Safety protocols is expected. Your contribution to our Logistics efficiency is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with common carriers.
- Track shipments and provide status updates as needed.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipments.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of all shipments.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with minor Lifting and staging of packages.
- Support the seamless flow of Logistics from our facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and correct use of PPE .
- Ability to perform light Lifting as needed.
