Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth flow of materials within our warehouse and logistics operations. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, moving, organizing, and preparing materials for various stages of production or shipment. You will operate material handling equipment, ensure proper inventory storage, and maintain accurate records of material movement. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position demands physical capability, including regular heavy lifting and the ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork. Training on specific equipment and procedures will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse locations.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) regularly.
- Strong understanding of material handling equipment and warehouse safety practices.
- Commitment to using PPE correctly and consistently.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
