We are hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy San Antonio, Texas facility! This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that goods are received accurately, processed efficiently, and shipped out on time. You will be the first point of contact for incoming deliveries and play a vital role in outbound order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workflow. Responsibilities include inspecting inbound shipments, verifying packing slips, preparing outgoing packages, managing shipping documentation, and maintaining a clean and orderly dock area. We emphasize safety in all aspects of our operations, requiring adherence to procedures and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Document all incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including selecting appropriate packaging and ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving dock areas.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics and transportation regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.
- Ensure safe lifting practices are followed for all items handled.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping carriers and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
- Good communication skills.
