We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our Houston, Texas facility. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, organization, and Safety of our entire warehouse and logistics process. The Warehouse Coordinator will manage inventory, coordinate staff, oversee receiving and shipping functions, and implement best practices to optimize workflow. A proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a dedication to maintaining a secure and productive environment are essential. We provide all necessary PPE for staff. This role may involve significant Lifting and requires strong leadership and operational oversight in a demanding logistics setting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy through regular cycle counts and system updates.
- Manage receiving and shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Implement and enforce all warehouse Safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse facilities, optimizing space utilization.
- Liaise with suppliers and transportation companies to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and Safety protocols.
- Utilize and ensure staff use of all required PPE .
- Analyze warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or Manager.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Excellent understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse Safety standards.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
