Join our San Francisco, California team as a Receiving Clerk! We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage incoming goods and ensure accurate inventory management. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accepting deliveries, verifying the contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests, and documenting all incoming inventory. You will inspect goods for damage, report discrepancies, and ensure items are properly logged into our system. This role is crucial for the efficiency of our overall logistics operations. A strong focus on Safety is essential, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all warehouse safety regulations. While this role may not involve extensive physical exertion, some Lifting may be required. - Receiving all incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Unpacking and verifying the contents of deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
- Accurately documenting all received items into the inventory management system.
- Inspecting incoming goods for any damages or defects and reporting them immediately.
- Resolving discrepancies between received goods and documentation.
- Tagging and labeling inventory for proper storage.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhering to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of PPE when necessary.
This position may involve occasional Lifting of items up to 25 pounds. A good understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles is beneficial.
