We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Cincinnati, Ohio facility. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock loss. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS). You will work closely with warehouse operations, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient product flow. Safety is paramount; adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to problem-solving, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the put-away process to ensure items are stored correctly and efficiently.
- Oversee stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to conduct physical inventory counts and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and logistics operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
