Join our growing logistics team as a Material Handler in Dallas, Texas! We are looking for motivated individuals to support our warehouse operations by moving, locating, and preparing materials and products. This role is physically demanding and requires proficiency in handling various types of equipment and materials. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our facility, from receiving to shipping. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials using forklifts and pallet jacks, and organizing inventory within the warehouse. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety; all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse equipment, a strong understanding of logistics, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Physical strength, good spatial awareness, and a detail-oriented approach are essential. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stock inventory in assigned locations.
- Assist with receiving and shipping functions.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Follow all company guidelines regarding the use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies.
- Support team members in achieving operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Must be reliable and able to work flexible hours if needed.
