We are hiring Order Pickers for our busy distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts! This role is essential for fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment. This involves navigating the warehouse, using pick lists or electronic scanning devices, and ensuring that the correct products are selected. Accuracy is key to our success, and your diligence will directly impact customer satisfaction. This position requires physical dexterity, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You'll be working with a team to ensure that orders move smoothly through our logistics chain. We provide comprehensive training, so prior experience is not mandatory, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are highly valued. You will be expected to wear appropriate PPE and be comfortable with Lifting tasks throughout your shift. Key Responsibilities:
- Select products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Use handheld scanners and other technology to manage inventory and pick orders.
- Transport picked items to designated staging areas.
- Package selected items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
- Meet performance standards for picking speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capacity for Lifting items weighing up to 45 lbs.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
