We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler for our busy logistics facility in Denver, Colorado. This role is crucial for the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to transport, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety are paramount. As a Material Handler, you are essential to maintaining the flow of goods and supporting our overall logistics operations. We maintain rigorous safety standards, and adherence to all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Stack and organize materials in appropriate storage locations.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain equipment and report any operational issues or necessary repairs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support general warehouse operations and assist other team members as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, preferably with forklift certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of industrial equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, typically up to 50-60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Commitment to wearing and using required PPE correctly.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
