We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility. This role is paramount to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is vital for our logistics operations. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. We provide all necessary PPE and emphasize safe work practices in all inventory-related tasks. While not as physically demanding as some roles, this position may involve some lifting and movement of inventory. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to specialize within the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock or overstock situations.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling and lifting of materials.
- Wear all required PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves, when handling inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles is beneficial.
