Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate at our Atlanta, Georgia facility. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of all inbound and outbound goods. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing orders. A strong commitment to Safety, organization, and accuracy is essential for success in this dynamic position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify against purchase orders.
- Unload trucks and containers using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Accurately stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification may be required).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
