Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri! This critical role ensures the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. A strong focus on Safety , precision, and teamwork is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials, equipment, and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet operational goals.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Knowledge of different types of forklifts and their safe operation.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
