Operate essential warehouse machinery as a Reach Truck Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are looking for skilled individuals with experience operating a reach truck to safely and efficiently move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in our distribution center. This role is critical for maintaining efficient inventory flow and supporting order fulfillment operations. You will be responsible for adhering to strict safety protocols, performing pre-operation checks on equipment, and maintaining an organized work environment. Your expertise with reach trucks will ensure that materials are handled correctly, contributing to the overall success of our logistics team. Proper use of PPE is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve products within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Assist with put-away and order picking as needed, using the reach truck.
- Maintain accurate inventory placement and organization.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to minimize damage to products and facilities.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits as required.
- Support the overall logistics and operational goals of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating a reach truck. Valid certification or demonstrated proficiency in operating industrial lift equipment. Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical dexterity. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management. Excellent knowledge of safety procedures for lift truck operation. Must be reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team. A commitment to safe operation and the proper use of PPE is required. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus for this logistics role.
