Oncology Clinic – San Martin, Nevada
Full-Time | 40 hours per week

This is an opportunity for an experienced Radiation Therapist to step into a key leadership role within a dedicated oncology program. As Chief Radiation Therapist , you’ll combine hands-on clinical practice with strategic oversight—supporting high-quality patient care today while helping guide the department toward future technical advancements.

With a predictable weekday schedule and no call responsibilities, this role offers both professional fulfillment and work-life balance.

Schedule & Compensation
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Pay Range: $51.61 – $79.62 per hour
Position Overview

The Chief Radiation Therapist provides leadership, clinical expertise, and operational oversight for the Radiation Therapy Department. Working closely with the Director of Radiation Therapy, this role supports regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, staff development, and the integration of emerging technologies.

In addition to serving as a clinical resource and mentor, the Chief Radiation Therapist actively participates in patient care and radiation treatment delivery.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate with department leadership, physicians, radiation therapists, physicists, and dosimetry teams
  • Oversee radiation treatment delivery, simulation preparation, record management, patient care, education, and quality control
  • Serve as clinical advisor for student therapists and liaison with university program directors
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the Department Quality Improvement Plan
  • Engage in weekly chart rounds and patient record reviews
  • Schedule Radiation Therapists and coordinate staffing to meet departmental and patient needs
  • Advocate for and support adoption of new technology and clinical advancements
  • Act as a departmental resource for billing and technical issues
  • Maintain hands-on clinical practice as a Radiation Therapist

Minimum Qualifications
  • Radiologic Technologist License in the state of practice (if applicable)
  • ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Experience using computer applications, including spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including conflict management
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.  

$51.61 - $79.62
