About the Project

We’re kicking off with a series of enabling works, leading into a complex and technically challenging project valued at over £200 million . This project will be executed under an NEC form of contract, and we need a talented Planning Manager to join our dynamic Planning team.

Your Role

As a Planning Manager , you will:

  • Lead the planning function across one of the project’s primary areas.
  • Identify planning strategies, methods, and logistics required throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create detailed programmes with robust breakdown structures and clear logical flows.
  • Develop phasing diagrams, logistics plans, and resource/plant histograms to support our planning.
  • Establish certainty in our progress and shape future actions with informed decisions.
  • Enhance predictability with robust project controls that forecast and generate early warnings.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, project teams, customers, and supply chain partners.
  • Consider the commercial and contractual implications of our planning efforts.
  • Foster collaboration across project teams.
Your Profile

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Essential Skills & Experience:
    • Experience managing planning on complex projects.
    • Strong understanding of the NEC form of contract.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Solid understanding of construction methods and planning from first principles.
    • Strong knowledge of Powerproject planning software.
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Experience in the industrial sector.
    • Ability to lead and mentor planning team members.
    • Experience with 4D planning and digital planning technologies.
    • Experience working on Construction Management (CM) projects.
