Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage the outbound flow of goods from our warehouse. This critical role ensures that all orders are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched to our customers. You will play a vital part in maintaining our reputation for timely and accurate deliveries within a fast-paced distribution environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents, labels, and system records.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks safely and correctly.
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams regarding shipment status and any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stock organization as needed.
- Support the overall logistics and efficiency of the warehouse operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and logistics best practices is essential.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Reliability and punctuality are critical.
