We are seeking a proactive and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure optimal inventory accuracy, minimize discrepancies, and improve overall warehouse efficiency. Your expertise will be vital in managing stock levels, conducting audits, and analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, providing comprehensive PPE and enforcing stringent safety regulations. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of warehouse logistics. You will play a key part in streamlining our supply chain and contributing to our company's success. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize stock levels.
- Manage and maintain the warehouse management system (WMS) for inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow.
- Monitor warehouse safety procedures and ensure compliance, including the proper use of PPE.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports and provide insights to management.
- Oversee stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and support logistics operations as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in WMS software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles and logistics best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
