Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipment contents against orders and packing slips.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit, using appropriate materials.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation, including bills of lading.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized shipping records and logs.
- Track shipments and provide status updates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shipping area, promoting safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
