Join our bustling logistics center in Kansas City, Missouri, as a Material Handler! We are seeking a strong, dependable individual to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. Your role will be critical in ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receiving to storage, and then to shipping. This position requires physical stamina, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment. You'll be an essential part of our operations, supporting the timely processing of inventory and order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Identify and report damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Understand and adhere to all logistics and warehouse procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 75 pounds consistently.
- Excellent knowledge of safety procedures, including the importance of PPE and safe lifting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
